    Charice Pempengco, generally known as simply Charice, is a young Filipina singing sensation who made her recording debut in 2008 after becoming an international media sensation. Though of petite figure, she is blessed with a mighty soprano voice reminiscent of her idols Celine Dion and Whitney Houston.

    Born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco on May 10, 1992, in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines,she made her television debut in 2006 on Little Big Star, a Pop Idol-style talent show specific to the Philippines, and finished as a finalist. The following year she appeared on the South Korean television show Star King, another Pop Idol-style talent show. While Charice fell short of first place once again, videos of her performances began circulating on YouTube, and she was invited to the United States repeatedly to appear on television variety shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show,The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Good Morning America.

    Crossing over to acting on television, she joined the cast of TV series Glee as Sunshine Corazon.She released a new single from her upcoming international studio album, “Before It Explodes”, a song written by Bruno Mars.The young singer has an estimated net worth of $15 million,she earned her net worth through all her appearances and hit songs.

      I’m happy for Charice that she accumulated some wealth for survival and relative freedom, but I don’t like the focus of media on her money.  Money enslaves people, and invites haters, looters and parasites.  I want the focus to be on her talents, her gifts as a young person, and her ability(and possibilities) to change the world; I also want to see more of the media and people truly support her and not just use her because she’s a goldmine.

        Wrong those concerts all around the world bring in big money for many in the music biz, and Charice has David Foster setting these shows up for her.   

        That’s 15 Time, Grammy Award-winner David Foster!  He can charge CRAZY amounts for tickets to those shows and provide Charice with the type of audience who can afford to pay those amounts. 

        Then you have the younger audience who hear about her on youtube, etc. and they flock to her shows also.  And having Oprah and Ellen  in your corner, at such a young age, is a great endorsment!  Those audiences loved Charice, and felt for her after hearing her life story!  

        15 million is possible for someone with the kinds of connections this young woman has!

        i am sure she is worth more than 15 mil now her first album, single songs still selling on itunes worldwide her private gigs her concert tour in asia and middle east her u.s. summer gigs david foster and friends her commercials in asia and u.s. her private gigs in u.s. now her second album number one in Japan and it’s going to be release by warner music worldwide i doubt she only has 15 million i’de say probably 30 million by now. charice saves her money she is so simple she doesn’t live an extravagant life like other hollywood young artist all she does is work and home if not working, she is a homebody she said even growing up as a kid.
